On behalf of the Board of Directors and
the entire Flames Organization, President Anthony Ambrose announces
today that, as of March 1, 2007, the new home of the Flames Hockey
Club will be the Addison Ice Arena. This move comes as a result of
the Board’s periodic review of the club’s financial position,
mission statement to provide the finest hockey experience for our
players, and responsibility to the club membership as a whole to
maximize every available opportunity extended to the Flames.
After seventeen years at the Center Ice of Dupage
Arena, this move to Addison represents a substantial change for the
Flames Hockey Club, but it is a change the entire Board of Directors
is supportive of and excited to make. The move represents real
advantages, financially as well as in prime time ice scheduling for
our teams. These advantages will be immediately realized by our
membership, who will benefit from regular practice schedules,
convenient ice times, and financial health of the club.
The Flames will hit the ice skating at Addison with
the Spring Hockey Season, with try-outs beginning March 16th
for Squirt through Midget levels. Further information about Spring
Hockey try-outs, teams, coaching, and fee schedules will be posted
soon. There will be no try-out fees and the cost of the program will
be $495.00 for the season.
On behalf of the Flames Hockey Club, the entire Board of
Directors and club President Anthony Ambrose would like to thank
Center Ice of Dupage for its partnership over the years, and to wish
them every success in the future. We are excited for our new
opportunity, and know that Center Ice supports and hopes for our
success as a club as we make Addison Ice Arena our new home. We
have every confidence that our move will enable the Flames to stay
“Hockey Ready.”
